Autumn Earth Element Vinyasa
Explore this elemental vinyasa for autumn balance
Service Description
Learn to explore and balance the cycles of nature from your mat with this elemental vinyasa practice inspired by Julia’s studies with Shiva Rea. The cooling temperatures and increased winds of autumn often increase feelings of instability and depletion, but the intrinsic rhythms of Vinyasa Yoga can provide an opportunity to focus on grounding and re-connecting to the earth. In this contemplative practice, we’ll slow down with Bhumi Namaskar (Earth Namaskar) before strengthening the roots of your body using foundational standing postures and hip openers to foster deep stability, as well as pranayama, Restorative Yoga postures and meditation to focus your mind and calm your nervous system. Suitable for all curious yoga practitioners. About Julia Julia Clarke has been teaching yoga since 2008 in New York City, the mountains of Colorado and now back in her hometown of Glasgow. Her classes are inspired by the rhythms of nature and champion using form and breath to tap into and direct subtle energy (Prana). She is certified through Integral Yoga Institute of New York, Shiva Rea’s Samudra Global School for Living Yoga and holds a master’s degree in yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda. She is the author of two books on the topics of Restorative Yoga and Ayurveda. Saturday 10th October, 3 - 4:30pm
