Qi Gong

Service Description

Qigong is a system of movement and meditation practice from China, with ancient roots, which helps to balance and transform body, mind and spirit. Qigong practice is always adjusted to the changing cycles of time, and this class in the evening hours from 6pm to 7pm takes advantage of the qualities of stepping back and settling down that are emphasised at these times of the year and day. The class will incorporate standing Qigong, a gentle warm-up, a short series of movements, meditation and self-massage to close. The class is easy to follow and suitable for all levels. Whilst Qigong is almost universally beneficial for all kinds of health conditions, if you have any particular issues, please be in touch for advice. Rupert is a Chinese medicine practitioner and teacher, who has been practicing Qigong since 1993 and has trained with a number of noted teachers both in the UK and abroad. Over the last 10 years, he has trained extensively with Master Wu Zhongxian and it is from this lineage that most of his current teaching material is sourced.
